LONDON, ON. January 15, 2015. What better way to kick the winter blues than to watch a collection of short films from some of London’s filmmakers? On Friday February 6th from 9pm – 11:30pm Londoners are invited to attend the showcasing of London’s best short films that were submitted to the exhibition.
“It’s been a while since we last had an event that celebrated the short films made in London by Londoners,” said Mark Drewe, local filmmaker, entrepreneur and event organizer. “The public may not know how many quality films and filmmakers are producing work in this city.” Of the five films that are being shown, three have been entered into festivals and two have won awards*. Admission to A Short Escape is by donation with proceeds going toward future productions of local filmmakers featured in the exhibition.
